Bio sketch in 25 words or lessBack to Steve Grubb home pageI grew up in Central Pennsylvania. After college I started working at at Johns Hopkins School of Medicine in Baltimore, doing ophthalmic clinical trials data management. Also had some fun playing keyboards in several weekend top-40/rock bands. Around 1990 met Sharon, who was already slated for a Peace Corps assignment in Liberia, West Africa. I went over to Liberia too but after about a month U.S. citizens were told to leave (due to a civil war -- instability persists to this day). In 1992 we went to Jamaica West Indies for a 3 year assignment with MCC as teachers. Our oldest child was born there. Then in 2000 we moved to Mount Desert Island, Maine, where we live today with three children. I'm working as a software engineer at the Jackson Laboratory, where human health problems are researched through the breeding and study of laboratory mice.
